ABOUT US
We are a husband and wife team living in Greensboro, North Carolina, with our two children and a zoo's worth of pets. Although only a hobby, photography is our way to interact with the world. This daily photo weblog is our attempt at taking time to enjoy and share Greensboro and its surrounding area. Our first published post was on January 2, 2009.
"North Carolina Is My Home" is more than the wonderful book and VHS tape by Charles Kuralt, Patty Davis and Loonis McGlohon for us. It is a statement that describes a feeling of belonging, of love, and appreciation for the natural beauty and welcoming people of this place. We have roots going back many generations here. It is our hope that, through these daily photographs, visitor and native alike will gain new perspective on our corner of the world.
ABOUT CONTENT
Unless we state otherwise, all text was written by us and all photos were taken by us. We hold the copyright and have the unedited originals. Please DO NOT take our pictures and use them without permission. We welcome inquiries about the use of our material.
You are welcomed and encouraged to share our weblog. At the bottom of each day's posting are links for social media and bookmarking sites. Please use them to help us build readership.
ABOUT BLOG LINKS
The intent of this photo blog is to capture different sides of our wonderful community, including social, spiritual, scenic, historic as well as commercial aspects. Links contained within the posts most often point to third-party websites. This is almost always the case when the link is a business, school or church name. We obviously have no control over the content or quality of those sites, but we trust you will find them safe and satisfying as we have.
Over time we have gotten away from text links for ads or sales, unless the context is an obvious product or business, e.g. book title, store name, etc. We may place links to books that we find interesting and relevant within daily posts. We recommend and use Amazon.
We display Google ads that are tailored to our region. They are not perfect, but do have a high degree of correlation. There are controls available that limit the nature of ads presented and we use them. We run a family site. Please help support the blog by clicking through ads that may meet your needs.
We hope that you will find our links helpful and not intrusive. Our intent is to recommend only items that are relevant to the central Piedmont region.

ABOUT THE LAST WORD
Finally, we are enjoying publishing the blog, but we are not "techies." We have certainly gained a healthy respect for those who are by spending a lot of time neck-deep in geekydom whenever glitches have shown up.
If you feel SO MOVED by our little piece of the world wide web that you need to shower us with love, affection and money, there is a tip jar labeled "DONATE" in the left sidebar on our pages. It will link you to PayPal. Don't be shy!
We hope you enjoy Greensboro Daily Photo!
