Can you believe June has come and gone and July is upon us? The above photo is from an event at the Greensboro History Museum, earlier in the year. Visiting the history museum always makes us feel patriotic and proud to call Greensboro home. While the museum will be closed on the Fourth of July, you could plan to visit on Tuesday-Thursday from 10:00 am- 5:00 pm this week. Here is a list of their current and upcoming events. Have a look, there are some good ones.
As you plan your week, please note that Fun Fourth will be held downtown along Elm Street from 1:00- 6:00 pm. From food trucks to performers to vendors, there will be something for everyone. The more you dress up to celebrate, the more fun your photos will be. The Fun Run will kick off at 8:00 am with events ranging from a One-Mile Fun Run to a 10K. For those of you who are fireworks chasers, please note that there will be fireworks on Thursday, July 3rd in Gibsonville at Northeast Park (see details HERE). Then, on Friday the 4th, at 6:00 pm, there will be a Beach Music Festival in the Greensboro Grasshoppers stadium, formally called First National Bank Field. At the end of the concert and at dark, fireworks will be launched from the stadium. Here is a list of fireworks scheduled in the surrounding area.
Please note: We will return soon to the tour along the blocks of Elm Street. However, we thought it would be appropriate to kick off the first day of the month with a little red, white, and blue.
Happy July!
