Yesterday, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade was held in downtown Greensboro. It started on South Martin Luther King Drive, heading northbound into the city and then turning right on Gorrell Street. Attendance was low, possibly due to the low temperature (low 30s) or the Presidential Inauguration. However, those who came out were well entertained and so many of the cars were tossing candy into the crowd. The above truck was transporting the Fellowship Choir and they were greeting the audience and sharing plenty of treats for the children. They may have been singing, but just not when we were passing by.
This was the 35th annual parade and it was hosted by the Greensboro chapter of the NAACP.
Happy Tuesday! Stay warm!
