We haven't featured a house lately and driving around Greensboro, this one caught our eye. On New Year's Day, the house at 404 Leawood Drive was a shining beacon up on a hill. The winter sun, already low to the horizon mid-afternoon, cast dramatic shadows over the lawn. The bright blue sky made everything look fresh and new on the first day of the new year!
404 Leawood is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house, built in 1976 and, according to online records, last sold in 1986. The people living there must feel like they are in a cozy tree house or on a little oasis. The location, between Market Street and Friendly Avenue, near Guilford College, is super accessible to getting downtown Greensboro in one direction and to the bypass in the other. The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood we only saw because we were visiting friends in the neighborhood. Echoing Fred Rogers, it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
Happy Saturday!
