The Kathleen Clay Edwards family Branch of the Greensboro Library is located off of Hobbs Road near Jefferson Elementary School. It is, indeed, a place for families to enjoy, as evidenced by the above family having a picnic, waiting for the library to open. Libraries are truly places available to all and where everyone feels welcome. Libraries are so much more than just going to check out a book. They are clean, cheerful, information centers with librarians who are friendly and willing to help with just about any request. They are a community resource and a venue for meetings, story time, musical events, and more.
In the case of the Kathleen Clay Edwards Library, Price Park is beside it with walking trails and places to observe nature, especially birds and butterflies. It is also possible to take your glass containers and styrofoam to recycle in the bins provided by the City of Greensboro. In Greensboro, there are seven branch libraries, plus the Central Library. Which branch do you use? The more we use and support our libraries, the more likely they are to have continued funding and the more we become connected to our community.
