Today's photo features local collage artist Joanne Rich. Joanns has won numerous awards for her artwork. Most recently, she won an award in 2024 for her post card sized collage "In My Mind's Eye." This award came from the National Collage Society's Small Format Exhibition. Joanne, originally from New York, has lived in Barcelona, Tennessee and South Carolina.
While Joanne is an educator by training, she also spends considerable time on her artwork. If you look at her website, you can see more of her intricately detailed work. You can also purchase pieces of her work- great for holiday giving. The above photo was taken at Spring Garden Bakery where we met Joanne for a cup of coffee and to see this table in person. At the time we got together, the table top was in progress. It is now completed.
