The above photo was taken at a corner lot on the east side of the Glenwood neighborhood, not too far from Gate City Boulevard. It reminds us of just how charming these older neighborhoods can be in Greensboro. The lot is large and the scene looks like it could be way out in the country, not in the city limits. Glenwood dates back to the early 20th century, one of Greensboro's oldest neighborhoods. The neighborhood usually to get trolley service from town. There are several community initiatives in Glenwood, and the neighborhood prides itself in its diversity and the fact that people from all walks of life not only greet each other, but interact on a regular basis.
Enjoy your day today, remember our small businesses and remember to #OptOutside. See you at the farmers markets first and then walking around seeing what we can uncover. We hope the lighting is a s good today as it was last week, when we took this photo.
Happy Saturday!
