When we have community events in Greensboro, downtown comes alive with people, art, music and things to do. We didn't make it to First Friday last night, but we heard it was great. The Greensboro Cultural Center on Davie Street has exhibits that are still on display, including Casa Azul's very colorful and thought provoking "Day of the Dead" exhibit. Downtown retail stores have holiday items for sale, with "Just Be" topping the list of Christmas gifts galore.
The above photo was taken last weekend at LeBauer Park. The Greensboro Youth Council's Goulash was in full swing. The spotted standard poodle, Woody, stole everyone's hearts. He was so sweet and his owner was very kind. Woody was determined to strike up a friendship with the above black lab who is entering on the right of the photo. Downtown Greensboro is very dog friendly for friendly dogs.
The weather should be beautiful today. Head downtown and see what adventures you can have. We've got a lot of catching up to do and cannot wait until the Festival of Lights, held downtown on Friday, December 6th from 5:30- 9:00.
Happy Saturday!
