Greensboro Beautiful's June event, Parisian Promenade has been rebranded as World Promenade. As opposed to only representing Paris, the theme expanded to feature artists and performers throughout the world. The above photo features Amanda Garner, Director of Greensboro Beautiful, who helped with this transition. She oversees other community events for the organization. We photographed her during the event in the vendor booth of the Sustainably Yours Mobile Boutique.* She had stopped by while making her rounds to see if the artists and vendors needed anything.
There were food trucks, artists, performers, and more all throughout The Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden. The event was planned in conjunction with the City of Greensboro's Parks and Recreation Department. The family friendly event was extended into the upper part of the garden. Gauging attendance and the mood of the attendees, the event was a big success. This is one of many free events available to the public throughout the year in Greensboro. Here is a link to the Greensboro Beautiful website where you can learn about volunteer opportunities and their many events. Greensboro is known for its beautiful landscaping and green spaces, Greensboro Beautiful, mostly manned by volunteers, contributes significantly to this beauty.
Happy Monday!
