Temple Emanuel is such a beautiful place and a vibrant and diverse Reform congregation. This view, at the corner of Jefferson and Hobbs, is absolutely glowing in the early hours of night. According to their website, they strive to be a place of Keruv, which means that it is a place that fosters a closeness to God and also to Jewish culture. This location has been open since 2002, opening during High Holy Days with Rabbi Guttman leading services. There are approximately 600 families affiliated with Temple Emanuel. The Jewish community has community has contributed significantly to the Greensboro community since th 1800s.
In addition to Temple Emanuel, the Chabad Jewish Center in an orthodox synagogue. Beth David Synagogue is an inclusive synagog of the Conservative Movement. B'nai Shalom Day School is a pre-school- 8th grade independent day school. Greensboro is a community with great religious diversity between and within religions. Hopefully, there is something for everybody.
