Seeing a performance at Tanger Center for the Performing Arts is the perfect activity for a cool, drizzly Sunday afternoon. Yesterday, we had the good fortune to land a 2nd row ticket to see "My Fair Lady." The acting and the scenery of this Broadway revival show were superb. Photography isn't allowed during performances, but the above screen was up before the performance began. It is a nice example of a scene around London in the early 20th century.
Tanger Center held its first public performance in September 2021. On the one hand, it is hard to believe it has already been open two and a half years. On the other hand, it is hard to believe there was a time when it was not in Greensboro. It is such a key venue for bringing top shows, concerts, and lectures to the area. It seats 3,000 beautifully and was made possible through a combination of donations and public funding. Here is a link to upcoming events. February kicks off with the percussion group STOMP this weekend. Sometimes it is possible to get discounted tickets at Tanger.
Happy Monday!
