Saturday is a perfect day for friends. Last Saturday, four friends gathered at Scuppernong Books to spend time together. Madison Burkhardt, Jillian Southworth, Brownie Southworth, and Laura Mae Allen were roommates at Guilford College. Madison majored in biology, Jillian in psychology, Brownie in geology, and Laura Mae in history and education. In spite of their diversity in interests, they found more in common than differences. They got along so well, Jillian and Brownie married and all four remain lifelong friends.
When asked what they loved about Guilford College, the response was the sense of community fostered at the college and the fact that the professors really care about students. What a great testimonial to the learning environment at Guilford College. It is heartwarming to see people gather in downtown Greensboro, celebrating their friendships and reminiscing over their college experiences. Scuppernong Books is one of many perfect places to spend time together in Greensboro. Call a friend and head downtown. As for the above four, may their friendships continue to deepen and may they always find time for each other. Something we love about Greensboro Daily Photo is all of the great people we meet.
Happy Saturday!
