Christ's Restoration Assembly is location up on a hill at 1483 Alamance Church Road, just south of the City of Greensboro and down the road from the mega-church, Mt. Zion Baptist. This little church evokes a feeling of tradition. It is beautiful in its simplicity. To the right of the building is an old, black walnut tree. Black walnut trees are said to mature slowly and can live more than 250 years. Their root system is deep and wide. The wood is a valued hardwood. The tree has already dropped its leaves and there are black walnuts all over the ground. Hopefully, someone will gather them after church today and make a black walnut cake. Surely, there is someone in the congregation who could use one.
As you can see from the sign, services at Christ's Restoration Assembly are at 11:00 am on Sundays. Head on over this morning if you are looking for a church in the southeast end of Guilford County. May this little church be as steady and long-lasting as that walnut tree beside it. We don't think we've featured it before. We always love to find churches that are new to us and in 15 years of Spiritual Sundays on Greensboro Daily Photo, it is nice to know we still haven't run out of houses of worship to feature.
Happy Sunday!
It does seem simple. That's a good thing.
