Well, it is Labor Day weekend and there will be plenty to do in Greensboro However, many will be leaving town; the mountains and the ocean may be calling you. The above photo was taken on the Urban Loop, heading toward the airport and Bryan Boulevard. This 39.5 mile highway surround Greensboro and gives us a way to get from Point A to B without start and stop, city traffic. Mostly, the loop is in the city limits.
Be careful when on the road or heading to the airport. Hurricane Idalia should no longer be a threat but did result in some cancelled flights. The FAA says this is predicted to be the third busiest holiday for air travel to date this year. As for those of us staying in Greensboro, today is First Friday so downtown will be booming. The farmers markets will be well stocked. Monday morning is a big Labor Day bike ride leaving from Oden Brewing. However, do pace yourself this weekend because next weekend Greensboro hosts the North Carolina Folk Festival, where there will be a variety of music genres. Something for everybody.
Happy September!
A good shot.
