After a week of rain in Greensboro (which we needed), when the sun peeked through the clouds yesterday, we were jubilant. Sunshine means get outside and enjoy nature time. The above photo, taken in northwest Greensboro is an example of how verdant and refreshing Greensboro looks after a rain. We've had days this past week that didn't quite reach 70ºF. Today, the temperatures are scheduled to range between 64º and 81º and there is a 40% chance of rain. However, the farmers markets will be in full swing. The Greensboro Farmers Curb Market on Yanceyville will have lots of produce, flowers, and food products; as will the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market on Sandy Ridge.
Have yourself a great Saturday, visit a farmers market, and have yourself a walkabout. Even if you just walk around the farmers markets, there is plenty to see. We enjoy looking at the stream that runs behind the market on Yanceyville. As for the one on Sandy Ridge, there are picnic tables and areas to walk, up behind the Moose Cafe, which, by the way, is a great place to eat. Hope to see you there.
A beautiful shot.
