The above house is located at the northeast corner of West Florida Street and Wildwood Drive. When the days are longer, we love exploring neighborhoods and noticing what people do to make their house a home; what they do to reflect their personality. These homeowners have turned their 1/4 acre into a cornfield. There doesn't appear to be a blade of grass in sight. The side of the house is lined with canna lilies; a plant native to Mexico, Central, and South America. They are hardy, perennials and spread on their own. Their stalks and leaves are sturdy and their flowers are bold and showy. This is a yard we will monitor throughout the summer, as it will be fun to see if the stalks actually produce corn and what color the canna flowers will be. If we see the owners in their outside, we will try to interview them. This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house was built in 1953. If Zillow is correct, the house last sold almost 20 years ago. The current owners have seen people nurturing this yard for a very long time. Even though they don't have to mow the grass, you can tell that they put a lot of work into their property.
Happy Thursday!
Quite a property.
