Today is Farmers Market day. The above photo is the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market on Yanceyville, across from the old War Memorial baseball stadium. It opens at 7:30 am today and continues until about noon. Two other well attended markets are the one on West Market Street at St. Andrew's Church. The Robert G. Shaw Piedmont Triad Farmers Market on Sandy Ridge is another good option. It is not to late to plant if you are interested in having a garden. Any of these markets, or the smaller pop-up markets, would be a great option. Just getting out and being around people and seeing fresh vegetables is a good thing. Greensboro is really blessed to have all of these options for farm to table food.
While you are out and about, you can also go to Preservation Greensboro's 13th annual tour of homes. This year, they will be in Westerwood- today and tomorrow. See here.
Have a great Saturday!
I love getting these emails every day. That’s a commitment to keep posting everyday! Well done friend.
