Our friend and artist, Cassandra Liuzzo, is featured today at her pop up art sale at the corner of Grove Street and Lexington in the Glenwood neighborhood of Greensboro. Cassandra had Shelf Life Art & Supply Co. in Irving Park for several years. After closing that store, she now sells art at Design Archives in downtown Greensboro. At her studio in Glenwood, she sells art and craft supplies, as well as gives private and group art lessons. Her pop up sales will continue throughout the summer on the same day as the Glenwood Market. Cassandra's hours are a little earlier, 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm on Thursdays. If you are at the Glenwood Market, just follow the path to from the market to the front of the church and you will see her pop up.
Cassandra, a Grimsley High School graduate, is a talented artist herself. She had a Greensboro Residency for Original Works (GROW) downtown in 2021. Not only is she accomplished at drawing and painting, she has beautiful journals and is quite a fiber artist. It will be interesting to follow her career and see the direction her talent will take her. You can find her website on Facebook (Shelf Life Art & Supply Co.) and connect with her at shelflifeart on Instagram. If you get a chance, stop by Cassandra's pop up next week. Not only will you have the opportunity for a good conversation, you will find some great supplies at a reasonable price. Thank you Cassandra for always having a great smile and welcoming spirit.
Happy Friday, dear readers.
