304 North Chapman Street in Sunset Hills is a real beauty with tremendous curb appeal. This red brick home was build in 1930, and sometime around the last time it sold (2019) the brick was painted white. You can see both examples on online real estate sites. This house appears to have its original footprint. Many homes in Sunset Hills are getting additions; in some cases whole second floors. The porch on the above house and the sidewalk in front is characteristic of this neighborhood, making the streets conducive to neighbors stopping to chat with each other. What really caught our eye was the Spanish lavender, known for its showy, intense, purple bracts and the fact that it blooms in spring. It is an evergreen, and in the mint family. It should look good all year round. We noticed the flag was up. Perhaps it is up everyday at this house; perhaps it is up for Memorial Day. The streets of Greensboro are quiet today as many people have taken four day vacations. Traditionally, Memorial Day is the herald of summer- which is technically June 21st.
Happy Tuesday, which feels like a Monday!
Those are lovely.
