Driving on Green Valley Road, between Benjamin Parkway and Westover Terrace, have you noticed 706 Green Valley Road? It has an air of mystery to it. The 5-story building, built in 1986 has almost 140,000 square feet of space. There is very little signage surrounding the building. It is one of those places you go when you know you need to be there. Unless things have changed recently, Greensboro Pathology Associates has laboratories there. Pathology labs examine bodily fluids and tissue looking for disease. If it is a forensic pathology lab, they perform autopsies. In 2020 during the Pandemic, Cone Health purchased the building for $18.5 million to optimize their portfolio and to consolidate administration for their system.* The building is visible from Wendover Avenue, just east of the Proximity Hotel.
This of Greensboro really stands out as a small business park. Do you know of other business that still have offices here? It will be interesting to see if any changes are made over the next few years. Have you ever had any interactions there? We'd love to photograph it on a day when there is fresh snow.
Happy Tuesday!
