If you've driven down Jefferson Road, between Hobbs Road and Friendly Avenue, you've probably noticed there is quite a bit of Christmas spirit there. Christmas inflatables are out in full force, looking especially lovely at night. The above scene is at the corner of Jefferson and Somerset Place, a home that keeps this scene inflated, even during the day. The first thing you notice is the quartet of doggies greeting you with a candy cane. With this cold weather we've been having, we're awfully glad these puppies are not real. Oh, but in the world of Christmas, they are real to all who believe.
The above house was built in 1977 on a half acre lot, and if realtor.com is correct, has had the same owners for the last 21 years. The owners have been bringing the community Christmas cheer for many of those years. With the house set back from the road, there is plenty of room to fill the lawn with decorations. Each year, we've really come to expect seeing a lot of decorations at Jefferson Gardens and Carriage Hills. This are is developing its niche in inflatables, something festive, but different from the round balls of light, up in the trees, so famous in Sunset Hills. Have a great Wednesday. Remember it is the winter solstice. After today, days will start getting longer, with more minutes of light, that is.
That's a lot of decorations.
