That was quite a lot of rain on Greensboro yesterday afternoon. However, rain was just what we needed; the crops were thirsty! The above sunset is from Wednesday and taken in northwest Greensboro near Lake Higgins. This is not the time of year when the sunsets fall directly over Lake Higgins, at least not from Carlson Dairy Road view. However, there are still open fields in the northwest part of town, including the farm golf course for the Greensboro Country Club, so there are plenty of angles to get a nice view of the sky.
If you are in Greensboro today, there are tunes at noon in LeBauer Park, and the movie Sing2 will be shown there as evening approaches. Also tonight, the Greensboro Grasshoppers will face off against the Hickory Crawdads tonight and they usually have fireworks on Fridays. So, even if the sunset isn't grand tonight, the fireworks will light up the sky. Of course downtown businesses are always there to help make your downtown experience enjoyable. Some even have extended hours on Friday. As another option, this is your next to the last chance to hear one of the Friday student concerts at the Eastern Music Festival tonight. Here's to a great weekend, whether you are in Greensboro or elsewhere. It is not predicted to rain again until Tuesday, so all of the outdoor options should be a go.
Happy Friday, dear readers!
Beautiful!
