Buffalo Presbyterian Church, organized in 1756, is accepting applications for their elementary school. The school will open August 29th and is located in the church building at 803 16th Street. The school will start this fall, initially as an elementary school. Ultimately, they plan to have a fully-articulated K-12 program. The curriculum will be a tradition one, echoing the program established by David Caldwell back in 1767. The school will follow Dr. Caldwell's model. He was the first pastor of Buffalo Presbyterian. In addition to academic subjects, there will also be Biblical instruction. If you want your child to have a traditional, conservative, Christian education, this may be just the school for your child.
The photo was taken from Church Street, across the street from Page High School. Here is the link for the school, if you are interested. The church will be having a picnic on July 16th at 5:00 pm. That would be a great way to meet the people of this church community. As for today, there is Sunday school at 9:45 and church at 11:00. It is pretty impressive to know there is a church in Greensboro whose roots predate our city and also the United States of America! They have values education since the beginning. This church will prove a new venture, for sure!
A good shot.
