Happy Friday the 13th. Today's photo was taken early Wednesday evening at the corner of Greene and Paisley Street. We were walking from near Joymongers to LeBauer Park. The sky was so dramatic and the buildings had the special glow they get when the sun is low to the horizon. The shadows were long and the lighting spectacular. Can you find the one person walking along in the photo? Walking this way, it is always refreshing to see that Greensboro Music Company is still open. Also, Mr. Tire, formerly Goodyear, and Perry's Exxon (to the right in the photo) are all still going strong. So much has changed downtown, it is comforting to see that some things have remained the same. Today won't be as bright an sunny as it was on Wednesday, but it is still fun to head downtown and see what is happening. Since it is Friday, there will be a lot going on!
Hurray for the weekend! Hurray for vibrant skies and long shadows.
Quite dramatic!
