The above photo features Sip and Paint Night at The Gardens at Gray Gables, located at 4105 Oak Ridge Road in Summerfield, just north of Greensboro. Every Wednesday, the venue offers live music and an opportunity for friends to gather. If you are a member, entrance is free. If you are not, the entrance fee is only $2. Last week, Colin Cutler performed. This week, from 6:30- 9:30, singer-songwriter Mike Coia is scheduled to perform.
The photo above gives you an idea of the venue. Guests are under a giant tent and with a brick patio. It is pretty easy to fit 6-8 people at a table. If you are local, chances are you will see someone you know there. If you are not local, chances are you will have made some new friends by the end of the night. According to their website, Gray Gables was established in 1898 by Mr. Henry Clay of Britain. The Britain's loved their home and played a significant role in the Summerfield community. In 2001, the Jenks family bought the property and have restored the home and surrounding land to its original glory, upgrading it and making it perfect for everything from evenings to listen to music with friends to having weddings.
There are just so many fun things to do in the Greensboro/Guilford County area. We hope you enjoy exploring as much as we do.
Alcohol is sold at Gray Gables, so you must purchase it on site; but if you want food, you need to bring it in. Dogs on leashes are permitted.
A good setting.
