This Exxon station at 801 East Market Street, open 24 hours, is one of the closest gas stations to town. As you can see, in the background, the Lincoln Financial Group building is not far away; it is one of the most iconic buildings in Greensboro. We jokingly say that, in Greensboro, all roads lead to the JP/LFG building.
We like to check in at this Exxon once in a while to document gas prices. When we were there on December 5th, regular gas was $3.18 a gallon. It will be fun to see the price this time next year. The last time we did this, June 16, 2017, gas was $2.35 a gallon. As you can see, the price is up 83ยข a gallon in 4 1/2 years. This gas station will be even more in demand when Bailey Village is completed across the street. This Exxon seems like an island and in a way, it is. You can access it whether heading east or west through town.
Happy Monday. Only five more days until 2022, can you believe it?
A good perspective shot.
