Sunday afternoon, we were driving along Lipscomb Road, near Friendly Avenue, and we saw the BIG RED BUS. The big red bus is a mobile place to donate blood. It looked like the event was actually handled by a private citizen as opposed to a church or school. There was a tent set up in the back yard of this property and there was a medical profession leaving the premises as the bus was packing up.
Here is a link t the BIG RED BUS, in case any of you are interested in hosting a blood drive or learning more about the organization. The donation center will come to you; you don't need to go to it! Look at what a lovely day it was on Lipscomb Road. Donors even received a %20 girt card. We couldn't ascertain the impetus behind this initiative, but it seems like a good cause- community generated. Happy Tuesday!!!
The Blood Drive was sponsored by the Greensboro Jewish Community and held at the Chabad Jewish Center-Greensboro.

I am a regular donor and tend to give blood at mobile clinics in office towers or on campus as opposed to at the agency's headquarters.
