Yesterday at late afternoon, we stopped by the Prayer, Praise & Deliverance Church at 1201 Freeman Mill Road at Langley. The simple, sturdy brick building with a tall white steeple looks like so many of the churches in Greensboro. Also typical, was finding someone on site mowing on Saturday afternoon, so that when members come today, the grounds will look their best. The church was incorporated in 1997, twenty-four years ago. It is a Pentecostal Holiness Church and, if you want to learn more about them, you can find them on Facebook.
Sunday school is at 10:00 a.m. and Worship Service is at 11:15 a.m. They have a Tuesday prayer service and a Thursday Bible study. Add Saturday for cleaning, and you have church activities at least four days a week! The Pastor is Bishop Dr. Willie C. Kendall. If you are looking for a church near the Glenwood neighborhood, here is another good option. If the man who was mowing was any indication, the people affiliated with this church are very kind. Happy Sunday!
It reminds me of some churches I have seen.
