The above photo, taken at Bur-Mil Park, which the City of Greensboro has owned since 1989. The scene reminds us of the beauty of nature. We're not sure why the roots on the trees have formed like this, but they add so much intrigue to the water's edge. Bur-Mil Park features golf, tennis, biking and hiking. While the swimming pool is no longer open in fall, there is plenty to do in the 250 acre park. Actually, the above scene is just down from the Wildlife Education Center, on Lake Brandt. Fishing is available during the day. Throughout the year, Bur-Mil is only closed Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving.
The Owl's Roost neighborhood has grown up around Bur-Mil. While there aren't stores or churches there, just about anything one would need is available within a few mile radius.Today should be a lovely fall day with the low in the 60's and high in the 80s. Have a good one and try to spend at least some of it out of doors. Greensboro is just so beautiful this time of year. Happy Sunday!
A pleasant spot.
