Let's close out the week with a final street scene. The above photo is on Friendly Avenue, heading west towards Elm Street. As seen on the flag in front of the maroon truck, to the right is Center City Park. The blue building to the right is Center Pointe. To the left is the Self Help Center. Friendly Avenue is one of the main east/west streets in Greensboro. As a matter of fact, it narrows really closet to East Market Street near NCA&T University. It continues through Greensboro back into West Market Street at a 90º angle at Sheetz near the airport, for a total of 9 miles.
It is already Friday and summer vacation is quickly coming to a close. Teachers have already returned to the classroom and, very soon, students will return, too. If you head out of town this weekend, whether west to the mountains, or east to the beach, take time to catch your breath and notice the beauty of Greensboro. Happy Friday!
A terrific shot.
