The above mural is visible from Barnhardt Street and the Lewis Street Parking Lot. This is the area where Piedmont Winterfest is now held. The area looks so pretty with signs of spring and with all of the bright artwork. It is also visible from Spring Garden Street. This past Thursday, late afternoon, the area was eerily quiet. Hopefully, with the weather opening and COVID waning, outdoor events will start making a comeback and the businesses on the perimeter of the parking lot will once again be filled with people. The nearby Boxcar Arcade and SouthEnd Brewing, and other establishments will regain clientele.
Here is a link to some of the Greensboro Public Art. If you get a chance this weekend, visit downtown and enjoy some of this public art in person. Also, if you know the artist of the above mural, let us know and we'll drop it in today's post! As always, we appreciate you GDP readers!
That mural is a beauty.
