Straw Hat used to be a sleepy road, tucked in between Jessup Grove Road, Lewiston, and Horse Pen Creek. This horse is proof positive that there used to be horses at the aptly-named Horse Pen Creek. These days, the area has been changing almost before our eyes. This horse has probably seen a lot of these changes. It has a big field back behind its house, but yesterday, he seemed interested in hanging out in the front yard, near Straw Hat, the old dirt road.
Perhaps the was curious about all of the athletes practicing soccer. Within a stone's throw are the Proelific Park fields, Caldwell Academy, and Northwest Pediatrics. The horse is in good company as Guilford County remains one of the top horse counties out of the 100 in North Carolina. If you love horses, you probably know about all of the stables and riding options in the Greensboro area!
A handsome fellow.
