August is the month for school openings in Greensboro. Early and middle college classes have already started. With schooling starting remotely this fall, it will be more important than ever for students and teachers to have access to books. One great resource is the Greensboro city library system. Grab and Go service is available at all of the branches; so, it is possible to check out books. Also, it is very easy to download the library's app and to check out books digitally. If you do not yet have a library card, it would be very important to secure one before school starts.
For those who prefer reading a physical copy of a book and owning their copies, Greensboro has some great options. Above is a one; Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Friendly Center. If you are a teacher, you should know that this weekend, B&N is offering a discount of 25% to teachers. This is a very generous sale and great time to add to your personal and professional library. It has been easy to socially distance every time we've been in B&N and everyone was wearing a mask. Can you see this man somewhat hidden in the photo? He is wearing a mask!
Happy reading to all, regardless of where and how you get your books!
Our libraries are at that status right now too.
