Driving around this Sunday, we noticed that the land on North Church Street, near Broadview Street is being developed. The land is not too far from Cone Boulevard and Page High School. While we don't know what will be built, it is another example of greenspace being developed. It will be interesting to see if the project continues during this time of isolation. It is really fun seeing how Greensboro develops and changes. However, it is also important to advocate for projects that will benefit community.
If you could see one thing built for the common good in Greensboro, what would you pick? Greensboro has a program known as Participatory Budgeting to give residents input in determining how public funds are spent. Who knows? If you are involved in this process and advocating for important community projects, an idea that you have for a Greensboro may actually come to fruition. Happy Tuesday!
Something more than the current virus stopped that construction. That earth mover and land has been sitting there for at least 10 years, with no changes. Don't know what was original started when they tore down houses in the area, but it never came about.
