Over the last couple of years, it seems as if murals are popping up all over Greensboro. The above mural of Pinocchio is at the top of a tall retaining wall over the parking lot of Bruegger's Bagels on Battleground Avenue. Pinocchio's nose, lengthened from lying, is long enough to hold several bagels. In front of the mural is a fruit tree that has blossomed out.
It is fun to see signs of spring merge with signs of art. Today is the first day of spring, the spring equinox. According to the almanac, this is the earliest it has been in over a century. As you continue to self-quarantine, perhaps you can find a way to celebrate the season that some maintain is Greensboro's most beautiful time!
A cute one!
