Last night, a wonderful community-building, sharing event was held in Greensboro. It was the brainchild of Lyndon Rego. Lyndon, originally from India, came to Greensboro to work for the Center for Creative Leadership. Today, he is "Chief Catalyst" for CoMetta, his initiative that brings people together to celebrate the "Stories of Us."
In the above photo, Lyndon is seen speaking at the event which was held at the Creative Aging Network- NC, at the Bell Campus on Summitt Avenue. Several speakers from groups in Greensboro spoke about some of our city's most creative initiatives. Each speaker had an inspiring testimonial about what lead them to Greensboro and how it is they got involved in community building. Thanks to Lyndon Rego, there will be more opportunities for this sharing. From creative reuse initiatives at Reconsidered Goods to growing greenway space downtown, to Casa Azul, Greensboro is building and sustaining an inclusive, resource-saving community.
Please follow Cometta.co and treat yourself to a Meet. Share. Love. event!
A terrific portrait shot of him.
