Local crafter Peggy Wynn does it all! Her first profession was in healthcare and her second was as a librarian. Now, Peggy is retired and makes craft items. We caught up with her yesterday where she had a booth at Temple Emanuel, selling her tote bags made from feed sacks. They are so colorful, durable, and reasonably priced. Peggy likes the idea of up cycling and keeping plastic bags out of landfills. She loves the fact that most of her friends with animals send the empty feed sacks her way. Peggy also makes soaps from essential oils. She is a great seamstress, but primarily makes pie and casserole carriers to sell. Peggy recalls fondly learning to sew in home-economics class in junior high, back in the day when girls took home-ec and guys took woodworking. The multi-talented Peggy also sings with several local choirs, including Triad Pride.
Peggy will host a fabulous art and craft show with several other artists on Saturday, December 7th at 2103 Mimosa Drive from 10 am to 4pm. If you want one of these feed bags, some great soap, or other unique holiday gifts, mark your calendar to attend her December event.
Very creative!
