It is hard to believe that a week has passed since the Jewish Festival at Temple Emanuel last Sunday. The above photo features the ticket counter for purchasing food tickets for the event. The Jewish community has played a leadership role in Greensboro since the early 1800s. The Cones, Sternbergers, and Schiffmans are a few of the early families. In addition to events held at local temples and synagogues, the Jewish Federation (located on West Friendly Avenue) also hosts events. On December 8th, the Jewish Federation will hold an 80th year celebration at the Greensboro History Museum. AND, if you don't want to wait until December 8th, mark your calendar for this Friday's PJ Library event at 5:30.
Happy Sunday and Shalom!
Good shot, Janis.
