First Friday is always a special time in downtown Greensboro, when you can stroll, shop, and visit art galleries. This past Friday was extra special in that the North Carolina Folk Festival was in town. People from all walks of life were out enjoying the evening. The above photo features the scene from the front door of Meraki Handmade in the 200 block of South Elm Street. The green and orange of the Meraki facade and the pedestrians in orange really stand out against the backdrop of purple flowers and the purple light at Schiffman's Jewelers across the street.
Once, a reader implied we make Greensboro look even prettier and more colorful than it is. We beg to differ. Sometimes color and the energy collide and the camera pops to the eye with the picture practically taking itself. In the above photo, we only had an old cell phone in hand. But the beauty of secondary colors on Elm Street was nothing short of magical. Have a great Tuesday!
A pretty scene!
