Coneflowers, or Echinacea to Share

Coneflowers are thriving this year and can be seen in many yards and gardens around Greensboro. They are perennials, easy to divide and share with neighbors. You can also save the seeds to plant. The above photo features a light yellow variety of this herbaceous cousin of the daisy. Coneflowers are usually only found in eastern and central North America, and Greensboro is one of the places where they grow well. As you can see from the above photo, the bees like them too.
