This photo, taken on Saturday in northwest Greensboro shows that the hyacinths may have bloomed just a little early since the weather is predicted to dip below freezing this week. The lenten roses and the cold weather crops should be happy, but bulbs and tree blossoms just may suffer. Let's hope for the best.
The two story brick colonial home peeking out of the upper right-hand corner of the photo is a common construction for this area. This particular home uses a buttery, colonial yellow for the trim and for the City Daily Photo community, the April theme is yellow. See a sampling of photos from the City Daily Photo community, here. Let us know how your plants are tolerating this April freeze. Do you see those pesky onions to the right of the hyacinths? To be sure they will be undaunted by the freeze!
I do love that buttery yellow trim Janis, the hyacinths are pretty fab too, hope they survive the coming cold spell 🌸
