At UNC Greensboro, Reading Day is a protected day; students cannot have any tests or assignments due. The University provides fun activities to help relieve the stress students feel as they enter the exam period. On UNCGs campus, since 1969, student groups have been lining walkways with luminaries, and since 2014, they have maintained the tradition of lighting the Vacc Bell Tower.
Last night was magical as students stood at the base of the bell tower on Spring Garden Street, listening to holiday music played on the bells, surrounded by luminaries and decorated trees, and drinking hot chocolate. A few staff members brought their children by to enjoy the event. For those students who got out and walked around campus, Reading Day had to have felt a little special.
Beautifully photographed.
