Yesterday, the O. Henry Magazine was featured on Greensboro Daily Photo. Today's feature is the O. Henry Hotel and Green Valley Grill. The above photo was taken at the bar, the transition between the hotel and the restaurant. The appointment of the restaurant as a "stand alone" venue, while attached to the hotel, makes it inviting to the public as well as to guests. The whole complex is about as close to the feel of old New York City or Europe as you can get in Greensboro.
On Thursdays at 5:30 pm, and many Saturdays at 6:30pm, the hotel lobby fills with live jazz music and faithful, local fans who come to enjoy the performance of talented musicians. You can start the evening with cocktails in the bar, dine in the restaurant, listen to jazz music in the lobby, and have the option to spend the night in the hotel for the evening. Yes, Thursdays offer dusk to dawn fun without leaving the property.* The Thursday jazz nights are a favorite with Greensboro locals.
Truly, the O. Henry Hotel complex is complex... in a good way!**

That looks like quite a place for a drink!
