When there are events in downtown Greensboro, pedestrian traffic definitely picks up. It is so energizing to see people out enjoying their city and walking from Point A to Point. The above photo was taken on North Elm Street at the Bellemeade Parking Deck during the North Carolina Folk Festival. It was especially humid on Saturday afternoon/evening after the rain.
Final attendance records aren't in yet for the three day festival, but sponsors are hoping for 175,000 people, which would be a slight increase from the attendance at the National Folk Festival last year. The News and Record reported that the owner of Medley Food Truck said that their previous record day was serving 400 people and on Saturday, they served close to 500. The only sign of food and drink is the above photo is the water bottle in the hand of the man on the right. It is highly likely, however, that some of the above festival goers took advantage of some of the fabulous food options.
