Native American Dancing at Davie St. Cultural Arts Center

 

The above photo was taken at First Friday in August. Many events were taking place at the Cultural Arts Center on Davie Street. It was the center's open house and most groups and organizations housed in the building were open and held events that would give people an idea of all that was available at the center.

The Guilford Native American Art Gallery and Gift Shop is located in the Cultural Center. It is the first gallery in the southeast to showcase Native American items. It is also a place that attracts people who want to learn more about the Native American groups, and, Native Americans see it as a gathering place to share their history and traditions. If you are looking for something to do today, check out the Cultural Arts Center. You may not be lucky enough to happen on an indigenous dance, but you will dance with joy seeing this great Greensboro resource.
