The dappled light of yesterday's late afternoon sun makes Christ Lutheran look like it is located in a bucolic field far from town. In reality, Christ Lutheran is located on the southeast corner at the intersection of Lawndale Drive and Pisgah Church Road. The scene was so peaceful and relaxing yesterday, all that was missing was a picnic table filled with food from a pot luck.
While not visible in the photo, but clearly visible from the road, the marquee announces an upcoming seminar on September 23rd. On that Sunday, at 11:30, lunch will be served. Starting at 12:15, the Greensboro Police Department will be there to offer a session about fraud and scams. The event is free and open to the public. Churches are increasing their role in their communities to include faith-based health care assistance and sessions, like this one on fraud and scams, to help improve the quality of life of their members and guests. Whether a faith-based organization, family, friends, or neighbors, everyone deserves to be healthy, safe and secure. Amen!
It certainly looks peaceful.
