It is almost the Fourth of July and we all know what that means. First, many of Greensboro's residents head to the beach this week. Many who remain in town will either set off their own fireworks or go to the show at the Patriot Fireworks Show and Concert. The downtown show will take place between 9-10 pm at the corner of Davie and Market Streets, as a culmination of the Fun Fourth event.
For those who want to have their own fireworks display, there are many vendors set up around town. The above tent is located at the Green Valley side of Friendly Center. If you look between the American flag on the right/middle. you can see the O.Henry Hotel peeking through. If you do decide to set off fireworks, make sure you do it legally and let the neighbors know in case there are humans or animals that react adversely to the loud noises. This is the most patriotic time of year and one of our few civic holidays. Finally, here is a link to the Freedom Run, if you want to start celebrating this evening. Read details, here.
Have fun!
