Mondays from 3:30- 4:30 at the Pig Pounder Brewery on Grecade Street hosted a Stroller Barre exercise class. They are providing an opportunity to work out with and to meet new moms. According to their Facebook page, they encourage people to bring a stroller and water bottle to prepare to "burn and shake" during barre-style stroller class. The class is part pilates, yoga, ballet, and a full-body workout and stretch session. If you have a stroller and young one in tow and are looking for a way to workout without arranging childcare and for a way to make new friends, this concept could be great for you. As you can see in the above photo, while everyone was outdoors and the day was sunny, there were options for being in the shade.
Hats off to those moms for modeling being fit for life with their children! Wondering is they decide to partake in libations while the babies were snoozing...
This is a new one on me! Not the stroller/jogging/mom thing, but classes in how to do it. First you get a stroller, then you get a kid, then put kid in stroller, then get behind stroller, then start jogging. Chit chat optional. And like you, I wonder how much money the Pig Pounder Brewery takes in after these "classes"?
What a name: Pig pounder brewery? There's got to be a story behind that!

You wonder what the kids think of it?
