If you are local, you know that Greensboro is a great golf community. Golf options are available in just about every direction in the city (north, south, east, west, and close to town). Options range from public to private courses; from playing on a casual, few-hole course in Peabody Park on UNCG's campus to being a spectator when the pro tour comes to Sedgefield Country Club. In the above photo, a foursome is playing the Carlson Dairy farm course at the Greensboro Country Club.
As the weather gets nicer, the courses become increasingly crowded and t-times are harder to come by. Even if you have never played before, spring is a great time to start learning the sport. Carts are tuned up, greens are manicured, and the weather is fabulous. The Wyndham Championship is three months away and it is always fun to watch, whether or not you follow the sport.
I'm heading out to the course in a few minutes! You do have some great courses in Greensboro and I'd love to be able to play them one day. That is unlikely to happen so maybe you could show more golf action on your blog? :)

We have them here, of course, though since I don't like the game, I've never been on one of the local courses.
