Today's photo is of Natty Greene's Pub and Brewing Company downtown on South Elm Street. The company has branched out quite a bit since this original store opened. They have expanded to Revolution Mill that is a brewery and a restaurant of locally sourced food. However, the above location has been open since 2004 when co-founders Christ Lester and Kayne Fisher took a risk on downtown Greensboro, opening the store there. At dusk, with the lights glowing, the scene is charming.
This Friday is First Friday and downtown will be lively. If you want to experience the charm of a city that still retains much of the look it had in the early part of the 20th century, mark your calendars for Friday and head to Elm Street in Greensboro. The area to the right of Natty Greene's is known as Hamburger Square. As the weather warms up, it is the perfect place to hang out with friends on a warm spring evening.
I would love to be there to experience all that charm. You found the perfect time of day for great photos...when the blue of the day meets the blue of the night. But it sounds like it's not quite warm enough to hang around outside yet
